Protection to Safeguarding
In 2022, the awareness campaign had a name change to Child Safeguarding Week (CSW). The word ‘protection’ was replaced with ‘safeguarding’, placing emphasis on prevention of child abuse and neglect as well as intervention. The theme for 2022 was Child-safe Organisations, focusing on making sure the places children go are safe.
Supporter Toolkit
A Supporter Toolkit was developed and free access made available to a recorded webinar highlighting the core elements of a Child-safe Organisation. Safeguarding Children were thrilled with the increased engagement from the previous year and commit to continuing with Child Safeguarding Week in 2023.
